Second Skin Bandage

If your bandage is clear and sticky, this is for you!

Leave your bandage on for 24 hrs. To remove the bandage, step into your shower and let it get nice and steamy - this will make it easier to remove. Make sure your hands are clean, then slowly peel off the bandage from one of the corners (take your time!).

Once your bandage is off, use warm water and unscented soap to gently wash the area. Use a clean towel to pat dry. For the next few weeks while the tattoo heals, wash the area daily. After 3-4 days a light scab will begin to form over the tattoo. When it starts feeling dry and itchy, you can begin using an unscented, water-based moisturizer to soothe the area (no vaseline!). Less is more with the lotion - a little bit goes a long way!

Most tattoos take 2-3 weeks to heal at surface level - this may vary depending on the placement and sensitivity of your skin.

DON’T: scratch or pick at your healing tattoo, wear constrictive clothing, submerge it in water (baths, swimming), excessively sweat/do heavy exercise, or expose it to excessive sunlight.
